Since upgrading from 23.04 to 24.04 when I double click on a zip file, the file automatically extracts to the current folder rather than opening up the zip and I can then preview the contents.

No luck - same issue.
Looks like a common isse. Bug has also been reported by someone so don't think it will be too long before a fix it out.
Will just stick to the older kernal for the meantime.

Tried to upgrade from 22.10 to 23.04 - after the upgrade I received a error about a issue with linux-image-6.2.0-20-generic
Rebooted and selected kernal 5.19.0-40 which got me back into the OS....
Looking at the error message there were similar ones on previous upgrades due to bugs, but these were fixed. It might be a new issue so probably worth raising in...
